It's only Wednesday?

Before you give me a hard time for the lack of posts please let me tell you it's been a crazy couple of weeks.  I last left you before we went to the Garth Brooks concert almost 2 weeks ago - during that weekend we went to 2 Garth concerts and let me tell you, they were life changing.  In addition to Garth, I also have start classes again, gone through crazy stuff at work, been sick, went to a conference, and it has all been exhausting.

Let's start with Garth - amazing concert, had a great time, and it seriously makes me question spending money on other concerts as I know they will never compare.

Work - so crazy, just that time of the year.

School - in two classes and a bit over my head but trying to balance work and homework.

Conference - I was in St. Louis this past weekend, I am still actively involved in my sorority as an alum - Pi Beta Phi.  I am currently serving the Pi Beta Phi Foundation as a Foundation Ambassador and was asked to attend officers weekend this past weekend in St. Louis.  I had a great time and really enjoyed the development that they provided beyond our volunteer work in Pi Phi.  In addition, I got to see many friends I have met along the way and make new ones, I enjoy serving the Foundation so much and look forward to my year ahead.

Ron- still the most amazing thing in my life, he is still laid off and we are hopeful he goes back to work again soon.  I worry about his depression but trying to support him every way I can.

Doggies - little rascals they are... but sooo very sweet.  It's been chilly here and we have been sleeping with the windows open, both dogs want to snuggle all night with me, needless to say I have not been sleeping well but they are soo darn cute.

Lastly, I will leave you with this.  On my plane ride back from St. Louis I was seated next to a woman that I can only describe as God-sent.... we both provided each other with something the other needed.  She was a trainwreck as this was the first time she was traveling to Chicago since her mom passed away in Ohare Airport in Chicago this past spring, she was so worried about the emotions but I think I was able to help her relax a bit.  In our conversation, I found out she had an adopted son from Russia thus of course sparking conversation about our likely adoption process we will be going through, which obviously led to discussion on infertility and all of that fun.  It was so comforting to hear her story... so I will share with all of you.  You are not alone, if you are reading this and you are going through infertility, know you are not alone.  We are all in this together and while we may not get the baby we always dreamed about it doesn't mean that God isn't with us.  I have and still am in your shoes, I know how hard it is to want a baby so bad it hurts and to feel like the train has passed you by... I still wonder what the heck I am doing with my life but what I do know is, I have an amazing man by my side, I have a great family/friend support system, and God is with me... I am not alone.

Cheers.

Here are some pictures of the last few weeks... the first is from my conference this past weekend and the second is Ron and I at the Garth Brooks concert.

Updates on the Fertility Front

Nothing new to report really except I am in a new cycle and seeing what happens.... hoping my periods are regularish, at least more than they were pre-fertility treatments.  It appears everyone I know is now getting pregnant, perhaps the bug will find me as well.  Until then, I sit back and just continue to pay off all my doctor bills from trying to get pregnant... woe is me.

In other news, last week hubby and I attend the Luke Bryan concert at Soldier Field and had a great time, although we were not incredibly impressed with Luke Bryan, Dierks Bentley was far better.  This weekend we will be seeing Garth Brooks here in Chicago both tonight and tomorrow night.  I know, we are crazy.  #iheartcountrymusic

Have a wonderful weekend!

Disney was a Blast!

Sorry for the lack of posts this past week but after coming back from Disney this past weekend, I am still recovering.  16 hours of park fun on Saturday then flying home Sunday after the plane was delayed 3 hours.. long weekend to say the least!  But soooo much fun and just what the doctor ordered.

I unfortunately have had to pull myself together real quick because hubby got laid off again this week.. not indefinitely, just until more jobs come along, but still I worry about his depression.  We have had some tough years and every time we start to get back on our feet another curve ball comes our way.  We are keeping our faith and continuing to pray.

Below is a picture from Disney's Wilderness Lodge - we had such a great time.  I wish I was better with blogging because I would certainly start a Disney blog if I was!
